Vulnerability
I sat by the window in my favorite spot, a warm cup of tea cradled in my hands as the late afternoon light filtered through the curtains. The journey to this moment had been long—filled with raw discomfort, deep introspection, and profound growth. As I prepared for the next episode of Thym 4 Tea with Mikita, I couldn’t help but reflect on how vulnerability had become such a powerful theme in my life.
A smile tugged at my lips as I thought about this upcoming episode. It wasn’t just about wellness tips or balancing life’s demands; it was about the heart of living authentically—what I like to call wholehearted living.
Creating Space For You

I wanted to create a podcast episode that shared what I learned about living wholeheartedly. It’s not just about giving wellness tips or advice on balance—it’s about wholehearted living. The kind of life where you show up fully, flaws and all, and embrace the discomfort that comes with it. Vulnerability, I’ve learned, is where the magic happens.
For a long time, I thought I had to keep everything under control, present myself as someone who never faltered. But life humbled me in the most beautiful way. It showed me that true wholeheartedness isn’t about getting it right all the time; it’s about embracing the messiness of being human.
I’ve had to learn how to live fully by experiencing the entire range of emotions. Not just the happy moments, but the hard ones too—the tears, the frustrations, the uncertainties. “Joy isn’t the goal,” I explained in the episode. “The goal is to experience *everything*—the good, the bad, and the in-between.”
Embracing Vulnerability
I share a story that’s close to my heart, about a time when I had to take a step back and reset my life. I used to believe that hitting pause was a sign of failure, that slowing down meant I wasn’t doing enough. But now, I know that sometimes the bravest thing you can do is stop, take a deep breath, and realign with yourself.

This year, my power word has been *letting go*. It’s been a mantra, a reminder to release those invisible chains that have held me back for so long. Letting go of fear, letting go of guilt, letting go of the need to be perfect. It hasn’t been easy, but it’s been freeing. I talk about this in the episode, encouraging my listeners to identify their own chains and break free, to make room for the life they truly want.
And then, there’s community. I used to think I had to go through everything on my own, that asking for help made me weak. But that’s a lie we tell ourselves. We aren’t meant to do life alone. In this episode, I talk about the importance of meaningful connections, of leaning into discomfort and letting ourselves be seen by others. Vulnerability isn’t just about being honest with ourselves—it’s about being open with others, too.
How often do we get real about how leaning into community has given us strength, courage, and clarity. I share personal stories about moments where asking for help made all the difference. My hope is that it’ll remind someone out there that they don’t have to have it all figured out. It’s okay to lean on others, to build connections that lift you up.
Finally I challenge you to take one step toward living more whole heartedly by leaning into vulnerability. Whether it’s reaching out to a friend, taking a moment to pause and realign, or letting go of something that’s been holding you back—I encourage you to just take that first step. Because we all deserve to live fully, to experience life with all its messy beauty.
Somewhere out there, someone is going to hear this and maybe, just maybe, take that first step toward wholehearted living.
And that’s what it’s all about—showing up fully, living authentically, and embracing the magic that comes when we allow ourselves to be vulnerable.
